The reason for this trip was to see the great grandparents. My grandma in Kansas and Phil's grandfather in Texas. So I don't know if vacation is accurate, but we still had a lot of fun.
We had a great trip, and Sam was pretty awesome traveling.. We left bright and early May 29 from BWI and flew nonstop to Kansas.. The flight was great , we had no trouble getting thru security. Sam charmed EVERY one he saw.. It's easy for him to do as he is the most adorable baby ever. :)
Phil looked really funny carrying all the bags. I made him pay a whole $3.00 to rent a cart.. He didn't protest to long.. Especially after our flight was a half hour early and my cousin picking us up was an hour late.. Although Kansas City airport is one of the easiest airports to get around.. The terminals are LONG!! Carrying 4 bags and a car seat will prove that.
While we were at my grandmas we had parties every night!..Sam got to meet all the cousins and Porter, who is 10 months older.
Saturday Taco night perpared by Nathan which was the only night that he cam over.. I was very bummed that he couldn't make it..
Sunday night- cook out.
the most exciting part was watching Mike and April groop(sp) each other.. and look completely obscene.. (Rent a Room)
Tuesday night- Dinner out @ Plantation - recommended by Tate! What were you thinking!! that place was awful
I'm very happy that I got to spend the entire weekend with my cousin's Kaitlyn and April.. This picture is at my Aunt Kyle & Uncle Jim's house, we'd just walked to Emily's and got a ride back. Walking a short 5 blocks wasn't as short with a 14 lb wiggling baby. We all took turns carrying him.
I miss having people around although they can annoy the heck out of you at times.. It is nice to have your people!!
Grandma was great too.. Her hip was really bothering her and she is using a walker to get around most of the time.
Wednesday June 2, we headed to San Antonio TX to see Phil's mom and family..
We got to the airport and were greeted by Mom and Aunt Dorothy, and plenty of awesome toys for Sam!!
We went to see grandpa immediately after we got off the plane..
It was HOT!! and MUGGY in Texas. Aftetwards we headed to Phil's moms where she has done an amazing job cleaning up grandpas trailer. I would love to have the talent of making the outdoors feel as homey as the indoors that she has.. I'm not a gardening person and don't think at least at this point I has the knack.. Maybe it will come later I'll keep you posted.. But don't hold your breath!!

Saturday - Party on the way to the airport in Aunt Mary's SUV..
Sam got to take his first dip in the pool while on vacation.. And he loves the water I guess it runs in the family
