Dylan dumped out the contents of the cabinets under the island.  Afterward crawled in and started playing hide & seek. Sam thought it made a better baby jail.

Pond Party

Battle Creek Park Pond Party was our outdoor adventure for the week.. We caught tadpoles, turtles, fish, baby salamanders... All not all the time..

This baby painted turtle was the size of a quarter.

All the kids brought their pond dwelling creatures to have a show and tell. It was very cute. Ms. Tanya even had pictures of all the animals.

D was fiercely awaiting his turn to dip his net. Although he refuses to get his hands dirty so I spent most of the time searching thru the muck.

We are getting ready for our 10 year anniversary!  Friday nights at North Beach are the best.

Sam's first tennis adventure

Sam discovered tennis, Calvert County Park and Recs program has been amazing.

They offer so much for the kids, for free!! This week's adventure indoor tennis. Sam did so well we bought a racquet and some balls.

Footprint castings- Kings Landing Park.

Took the boys to Kings landing park today to learn about animal castings.  Took home a deer footprint mold, saw racoon, squirels and muskrat.

First day of Sam's potty training (April 1, 2013)

Just for the record this was a second attempt. We tried to weeks ago and clearly neither of us was ready. Today's attempt went very well. We had one minor accident, but he was great about letting me know he had to go.. and letting me know he got a sticker AND chocolate afterwards!! Photo  is blurry but its a very Full potty chart.

2013 - New Year Goals

Happy (Belated) New Year!  Can you believe it's 2013? 

The purpose of this blog is to chronicle my journey of my family and I plan to do much more of that this year..  It's simply what I'm doing.  The good, the bad and the oh so messy.  You're welcome follow along.  I hope you find inspiration here.  

I love New Year's Day because it give me the chance to start over.  A clean slate.  So with that in mind here are my renewed goals for the year:

• Deepen my faith and strengthen my relationship with God.  (Action Plan:Start by Reading Victory of Surrender) 
• Strengthen my relationships with my family. ( At least one Date Night each month and one fun family outing/ road trip)
• Develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle. ( Keep make a list of foods I should be eating and make it visible, food journal on fridge, go to gym twice a week ) 
• Get and keep my home clean and organized. ( Follow Flylady and print out cleaning schedules leave them visible) 
• Stretch my weekly budget using coupons.  (Spend one hour on Saturdays clipping and organizing)
• Develop a plan and prepare for emergencies.  ( Talk to Phil about Fire Escape plan for upstairs) 
• Post an update at least once a week. ( Make a summary of events and keep my camera card clears to Main computer) 
• Take the following classes : Photography, Grant Writing, Sewing,

Calvert Hip Mamas 4th Birthday!!
